Zombie Apocalypse

For the August 15th MBSS we’ll be doing our first MEGA event!  Our August event is aimed to help Scouts be prepared to survive the zombie hoards.  The whole event will be zombie themed.

We have arranged to use the Girl Scout camp only 10 minutes from the Merit Badge Super Saturday site.  Scouts will be able to stay at the Camp both Friday and Saturday night for just $10/person.  We will be offering special programming on Friday night (Merit Badge clinics) and Saturday night (non-MB programming).  Merit Badge clinics will be held on Saturday at both the LDS Chapel (1001 Doherty Rd) and at the Camp.

We're hoping to get help with the following items:
  1. Providing breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning for those at the Camp. This could be a fundraising opportunity for the unit(s) involved.
  2. Star Scouts working on Life Req #6: We're wanting to offer a round-robin requirement opportunity for T-2-1 Scouts Saturday afternoon/evening.
  3. Help with setting up the MBSS Site (Friday night) and to help clean up the MBSS Site (Sat Afternoon) and Camp (Sun morning).
  4. Setting up a Saturday night campfire program - we need a Scout/unit to own this and help make it a fun gathering to cap off the MBSS event.
  5. Setting up a 'Scouts Own' for Sunday morning. A Scout is Reverent and we can't think of a better way to send everyone home.
  6. Coming up with any other programming ideas for Friday night (MB work) and/or Saturday Afternoon/evening (non-MB Programming).
